What is Arthritis?
Osteoarthritis is the degeneration of the joint cartilage and bone that leads to inflammation and pain. As in people, it affects our pets too.
It is estimated that 4 in 10 dogs and cats suffer with Arthritis. The majority of pets will be in their senior years when arthritis symptoms are present. Typically dogs affected will be over 8 years old and cats are affected over the age of 10. However, arthritis in not confined to just older animals and can be present in younger pets.
