The Importance of a Cat-Friendly Clinic for Your Feline Friend at Milton Keynes Vets
At Milton Keynes Vets, we understand that your cat is never “just a pet,” and as an independent veterinary practice, we pride ourselves on offering a personal touch and tailored care. Our passion for animals drives us to ensure every cat receives the best care, and that includes making their visits to the vet as comfortable and stress-free as possible.
That’s why we are proud to be a Silver Accredited Cat Friendly Clinic, dedicated to providing exceptional care that is sensitive to your cat’s unique needs. Our goal is to provide a calming environment where your feline friend feels safe, secure, and well-cared for.
Why Choose a Cat-Friendly Clinic?
Cats are naturally more independent and can be easily stressed by changes in their environment. The sights, sounds, and smells of a typical veterinary clinic can be overwhelming for a feline, leading to anxiety and fear. Choosing a Cat Friendly Clinic is essential for ensuring your cat receives the best care in a comfortable environment. We are a Silver Accredited Cat Friendly Clinic, meeting the high standards set by the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM), and ensuring that our clinic is equipped with everything your cat needs for a safe and stress-free visit. Our team is specially trained to understand feline behaviour and the unique needs of cats, allowing us to provide a higher level of care for your feline friend.
What Makes Our Cat Clinic Special?
Cat-Only Appointments
During our Cat Clinic days, we ensure that the clinic is exclusively for felines. We do not allow any dogs into the building or kennels on our Cat Clinic days, so your cat can enjoy a calm, quiet environment. This also means your cat won’t have to compete for attention or be stressed by unfamiliar smells and sounds.
A Calm, Cat-Friendly Environment
We’ve created a peaceful waiting room specifically for our feline patients, complete with cat trees for placing your carrier on and Feliway-scented blankets to help calm your cat and give them some privacy. The calming environment is designed to reduce stress and anxiety, helping your cat feel more at ease while waiting for their appointment.
