MKVG Celebrates Green Award and Ongoing Sustainability Initiatives

We are proud to announce that we have received the Investors in the Environment Green Award at our recent audit for our commitment to sustainability. 

We have a passionate green group determined to improve our sustainability whilst maintaining high quality veterinary care. Recent changes have included fully recyclable syringe and needle packaging, and thermostat controlled operating theatres and consulting rooms. We have switched to paper free alternatives such as laminated monitoring sheets and use a green/red sticker system for electrical items. 

We have undertaken a variety of projects such as social pottery, tree planting, growing wildflowers from seed and supporting out local cat charity with food donations. 

Looking ahead, we hope to explore anaesthetic gas capture, renewable energy contracts and promote more sustainable travel for our staff and clients. Upcoming projects include supporting our local food bank, National Walking Month and biodiversity projects within the local community.
