Festive Season Safety Tips for Your Pets
The holidays are a fun time, but they can bring a few hidden dangers for our furry friends. Here are some simple tips to help keep your pets safe this festive season:
Festive foods: Chocolate, mince pies, grapes, raisins, onions, alcohol, and cooked bones can be dangerous — keep them well out of reach.
Decorations & lights: Tinsel, baubles, fairy lights, and wrapping can be tempting but risky if chewed or swallowed.
Plants: Poinsettias, mistletoe, and holly can be toxic — place them safely away from pets.
Visitors & noise: Busy homes and fireworks can be stressful. Make sure your pet has a quiet, safe space to retreat to.
Routines: Try to keep feeding, walks, and medication schedules as normal as possible.
